Basketballer Kayla Alexander and other Canadian athletes scramble to return home

A whirlwind week for Kayla Alexander landed her safely home in Milton, Ont., on Saturday night. It was about a month ago the Canadian forward joined Polish pro basketball team Arka Gdynia as a mid-season addition. But like nearly every other sports league in the world, Basket Liga Kobiet shut down its season amid the global coronavirus outbreak.
