Olympic champion Eliud Kipchoge has held off the challenge of debutant Guye Adola to win the Berlin Marathon. The Kenyan won in two hours, three minutes and 32 seconds, missing out on the world record by 35 seconds in wet conditions. Gladys Cherono won the women's race in 2:20:23.
